Tools: Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
For this project we had to design and concert poster and an album cover to go along with the concert poster. I choose Fall Out Boy because 1) I am from Chicago suburbs and 2) They are my favorite band. It wouldn’t be a Chicago related concert without other bands from Chicago joining them, at Wrigley Field of course! (yes, I know they have actually played here). I found this to be one of my favorite assignments due to the freedom of choice and I did enjoy playing with different layers and tools in Photoshop and Illustrator. I decided to go with the purple theme since their latest albums revolve around the color purple. I also learned more about working with layers, altering text, and how using basic shapes and lines can be just the addition that’s needed to tie everything together.
